CV Studio: a private space built for lasting transformation in Wynwood

Valentín Quiroga has spent more than 15 years in coaching. With his partner Sofía Camaño, he built CV Studio as the opposite of a commercial gym, and Wynwood as the last place anyone would expect to find that kind of quiet.

CV Studio was designed as the opposite of a commercial gym. Walk in, and the first thing you notice is that the space feels private, intentional, and calm. No crowds, no loud distractions, no random energy. High ceilings, natural light, enough room to move with freedom but without feeling exposed. “Every detail is there to support concentration: the lighting, the layout, the music, the organization of the machines, even the way we welcome people”, Valentín says. Wynwood was a deliberate choice too. “It represents energy, creativity, transformation, and reinvention. But we wanted to bring something different to the neighborhood”, he explains.

Valentín started training young, first to change his own body. That personal interest became a career: physical education, physiology, training, and nutrition, eventually narrowing into body recomposition, hypertrophy, and the science of coaching.

Sofía is his partner in life and in business, and she shapes the other half of CV Studio. “She understands people, aesthetics, communication, hospitality, and the emotional side of the experience”, he says. Both Argentine, both building in a competitive city without shortcuts. “CV Studio is the result of that combination: our immigrant story, our standards, our love for training, and our belief that a fitness business can be both professional and deeply human”, he adds.

Not a quick fix

For Valentín, lasting transformation means something specific. “The person does not only change their body for a few weeks. They change their relationship with training, nutrition and discipline”, he says. In practice, that means no shortcuts and no extreme plans. In a traditional gym, he explains, “most people are left alone with machines, noise, and confusion. They may train hard, but not necessarily well.” Here, the process is coached: structure, history, lifestyle, stress, nutrition, psychology, goals. “We are not just supervising workouts. We are educating the person. That is how transformation becomes part of someone’s life instead of being just a short phase”, he says.

The Fitneur sat down with Valentín to talk about the studio, the standard behind it, and where it’s all heading.

— What does a session actually look like once someone’s inside CV Studio?

— It’s never improvised. It begins with a clear plan: what phase the client is in, what we’re working on, what limitations we need to respect, and what progress we’re trying to create. For us, training isn’t about doing more for the sake of doing more. It’s about doing the right things well, with enough consistency to create a real adaptation.

— Opening a private studio is a bold bet in a city full of big gyms and flashy brands. What’s been the hardest part of building it your own way?

— Staying faithful to our standards in an industry that often rewards noise, trends, and superficiality. Miami is full of high-energy classes and visual marketing, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it’s not what we’re building. Real coaching isn’t always immediately flashy. What keeps me convinced is the quality of the relationships we build. When clients stay, renew, and refer friends, you know you’re building something more solid than a trend. The right way is not always the fastest way. But it is the only way that makes sense long term.

— Where do you think Miami’s fitness scene is heading, and what role do you want CV Studio to play in it?

— For a long time, fitness was dominated by intensity, aesthetics, and entertainment, and that will keep existing. But there’s a growing group of people who want something more private, more personal. A great coach can see what an app cannot see. A great environment can create a level of commitment that a generic program cannot create. The role I want CV Studio to play is clear: a reference for high-level private coaching in Miami, built for people who want transformation to become part of their life, not just a temporary goal.
